Application and Using of Metallographic Cutting Machine
The metallographic cutting machine is a commonly used equipment in metallographic laboratories for cutting and sampling metal materials. It is mainly used in metallographic microstructure analysis, quality control of metal materials, and scientific research.
The use of the metallographic cutting machine is as follows:
1. Preparation: Ensure the safety of the working area and wear personal protective equipment such as goggles, protective gloves and protective clothing.
2. Sample preparation: Clean the metal sample to be cut to remove dirt and oxides on the surface. Ensure that the surface of the sample is flat to obtain accurate cutting results.
3. Cutting parameter setting: Set appropriate cutting parameters according to the material and size of the sample. Mainly include parameters such as cutting speed, cutting depth and knife disk rotation speed. The selection of these parameters should be based on experience or reference to relevant experimental methods.
4. Adjust the cutting position: Place the sample on the cutting table, fix the part to be cut under the cutting knife by adjusting the clamping device and positioning device, and ensure the cutting position is accurate.
5. Start the cutting machine: Start the cutting machine according to the requirements of the equipment operation manual. Depending on the needs, you can choose manual operation or automatic operation mode.
6. Cutting: After starting cutting, the cutting disc will move along the preset path and gradually penetrate the metal sample during the cutting process. Pay attention to the situation during the cutting process to ensure the quality and safety of the cutting.
7. End of cutting: After the cutting is completed, stop the operation of the cutting machine. Carefully remove the cut sample to avoid injury. Clean the work area and remove the waste and debris generated by the cutting.
8. Sample processing: Clean the cut sample and perform further processing as needed, such as grinding, polishing, corrosion, etc., to obtain the required metallographic microstructure.
It should be noted that when using the metallographic cutting machine, the user should strictly abide by the relevant safety regulations and operating procedures to ensure personal safety and normal operation of the equipment.
