Basic Steps for Using Fully Automatic Metallographic Cutting Machine

The iqualitrol fully automatic metallographic cutting machine is a precision equipment used for cutting and preparing metallographic samples.

The following are the basic steps and precautions for using a fully automatic metallographic cutting machine:

Install the machine: Make sure the cutting machine is placed smoothly on a stable workbench, connect the water inlet and outlet pipes, and check whether the power cord and plug are intact.

Grinding wheel loading and unloading: Use a wrench to unscrew the pagoda-shaped cap at the end of the spindle, remove the grinding wheel clip and grinding wheel disc, install the grinding wheel disc, tighten it and check whether the grinding wheel disc is stable.

Sample clamping: Clamp the sample correctly and tighten the clamping handle with a wrench to ensure that the sample is clamped firmly.

Sample cutting: Cover the upper cover of the machine, turn on the coolant switch, start the motor, hold the swing arm handle and let the grinding wheel slowly contact the sample for cutting. Pay attention to even force and avoid excessive force.

Maintenance and safety technology: Ensure that the electrical grounding wire is installed reliably, the inlet/drainage pipes are smooth but not leaking, use appropriate coolant, replace coolant and grease regularly, check for abnormal machine sounds and stop the machine immediately for inspection.
