Customer Reviews
The touch screen micro vickers hardness tester has been installed a few weeks ago, everything is OK. Thanks for your advice and excellent service.

—— Mr. David Chambers

Thanks for the fast delivery and our customer is very satisfied for the rockwell hardness tester, and hope more orders soon.

—— Neil Renato

After we visited the customer, they finally decided to purchase Brinell hardness tester iBrin-413Z, now we have installed the unit at customer’s site,

—— Fermin Lee

Thank you for the indenters (diamond  cone 120 degrees). We recently got it and already tested it. Indenters  are good as we expected.

—— Dalius Skinulis

The Measurements are good for Brinell Tester HBST-3000.

—— Sun Chull Kim

Hey, the hardness tester iVick-484ST was installed last week and works well, thanks for the professional support.

—— Sabinian Smith

I am glad to inform you that the installation of the SHB-3000C Brinell hardness tester has been finished successfully. I would like to thank you!

Factors Affecting Accuracy of Barcol Durometer

Barcol hardness tester is widely used in the aluminum profile industry. In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results and the long-term stable operation of the instrument, users must strictly abide by the operating specifications and pay attention to relevant details during use.

The following is a further sorting and supplement of the precautions for using the Barcol hardness tester based on the information you provided:

1. Maintain the cleanliness of the sample

Before measurement, appropriate cleaning tools and methods (such as dust-free cloth, alcohol, etc.) should be used to remove dust, oil and other contaminants on the surface of the sample to ensure that the measuring point is clean and dry.

Avoid using cleaning tools that are too rough to avoid scratching the surface of the sample and affecting the measurement results.

2. Selection of measuring points

When selecting the measuring point, ensure that it is at least 5mm away from the edge of the sample to reduce the impact of the edge effect on the measurement results.

The distance between the two indentations should be greater than 6mm to avoid mutual interference and ensure that the measurement results of each indentation are independent and accurate.

For the same sample, multiple measuring points should be selected for testing as much as possible, and the average value should be taken as the final result to improve the reliability of the measurement.

3. Consider the influence of oxide film

For aluminum profiles with oxide layer, the influence of oxide film on hardness measurement results should be considered. If necessary, correction can be made by removing the oxide layer or by other methods.

For oxide film with known thickness, correction can be made by referring to the corresponding correction formula or standard value to obtain more accurate hardness value.

4. Standard operation

Calibration and correction: Before using the Barcol hardness tester, full scale calibration and calibration point calibration should be performed using the included Barcol hardness sheet to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the instrument.

Perform instrument calibration and maintenance regularly to ensure its long-term stable operation.

Measurement process: During the measurement, ensure that the surface of the specimen is perpendicular to the indenter and the bottom of the specimen is in full contact with the anvil to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.

The grip force should be applied quickly and evenly to avoid low measurement values caused by slow force application.

Maintain the stability of the specimen and the instrument to avoid twisting or shaking during the measurement to prevent damage to the indenter and reduce measurement errors.

5. Other precautions

Avoid using the Barcol hardness tester under extreme temperature or humidity conditions to avoid affecting its measurement accuracy and stability.

For instruments that are not used for a long time, they should be stored in a dry, dust-free, non-corrosive gas environment and regularly maintained and serviced.

For operators, regular training and technical guidance should be provided to ensure that they can correctly use and maintain the Barcol hardness tester and improve the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results.
