Working principle and composition of microhardness tester

 

Microhardness tester is a device commonly used to measure metal hardness in recent years. Measuring hardness is by lifting the focusing mechanism, measuring microscope, and loading mechanism of the iqualitrol microhardness tester, correctly selecting the load and loading speed for fully automatic loading and unloading of the test force, and correctly controlling the test force retention time, and through the optical amplification of the microhardness tester.

Correct use of microhardness tester

 

Since microhardness tests often measure the hardness of very small samples (such as needle tips) or small specific parts of the sample (such as metallographic structures), these situations are difficult to observe and judge with the human eye.

 

The indentation obtained after the microhardness test is very small, which is difficult for the human eye to find, let alone measure the diagonal length of the indentation, so a microscope is required to work.
