Brief Introduction:
New generation of Vickers hardness tester adopts the integrated design of hardness tester and panel computer, all the testing parameters can be set on the panel computer.
CCD image acquisition system can show dynamic indentation image, lock the image and automatically get the Vickers hardness value with high precision and stability, and avoid the human errors.
Touch Screen controller installed with Windows 7 operating system, has all functions of computer and can be connected to the output devices such as external screen and printer;
Original installed three objectives for measurement, automatic recognition and motorized turret.
The lifting screw adopts worm and gear structure with smooth transmission;
Automatic test force loading, dwell and unloading;
Support hardness conversion function;
Automatically save the measuring data, generate the hardness-depth curve and save as WORD or EXCEL document;
With digital micrometer X-Y test anvil, it makes measurement more precise and realizes the fully automation of Vickers hardness testing with optional motorized X-Y test table.
Application range:
Suitable for ferrous metal, non-ferrous metals, IC thin sections, coatings, ply-metals; glass, ceramics, agate, precious stones, thin plastic sections etc.; hardness testing such as that on the depth and the trapezium of the carbonized layers and quench hardened layers.

The Knoop hardness test method is mostly used for small parts, thin sections, or case depth work. Knoop indentation is very small, the main application like below:
testing very thin materials like foils or measuring the surface of a part,
small parts or small areas,
measuring individual microstructures,
measuring the depth of case hardening by sectioning a part and making a series of indentations to describe a profile of the change in hardness.
The Knoop indenter is a pyramid shaped diamond is more elongated or rectangular in shape. The Knoop method is commonly used when indentations are closely spaced or very near the edge of the sample.
The width of the Knoop indentation can provide more resolution for measurement and the indentation is also less deep. Consequently, it can be used on very thin materials.
